Plus 44 drummer and stranged wife exchange barbs
Plus 44 drummer Travis Barker has lashed out at his estranged wife, Dancing with the Stars contestant Shanna Moakler, over a "Divorce Party" that Moakler threw for herself on Friday night (November 3rd) at a Las Vegas nightclub. Barker posted a message at his MySpace page saying that he was saddened by Moakler's event, but not shocked by her behavior, explaining, "This is the same wife that emailed me to tell me she would be sleeping with her new boyfriend in my bed the day of our anniversary two days ago." Barker added, "There isn't a part of...the fact that our marriage failed that I could be celebrating or happy about."
Barker also said that Moakler was "playing the victim" and concluded, "I'm gonna say a long prayer for her, she needs it."
Moakler responded to Barker's comments on her own MySpace page, writing, "I am NOT the one running around the world with the town drug obsessed clown," a reference to Barker's recent, brief relationship with Paris Hilton. Moakler accused Barker of "flaunting his spiteful and vindictive relationships" and said that he wasn't telling the entire story.
Assuming Barker and Moakler don't strangle each other first, Plus 44 will begin a North American tour on November 8th in Tampa, Florida. The band releases its debut album, When Your Heart Stops Beating, on November 14th.
