Rolling Stones reschedule more dates
The throat ailment that's got hold of Mick Jagger has forced the Rolling Stones to reschedule more dates. After they play on Wednesday, November 1st, at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, Jagger needs to take four days off to allow his throat to heal, so the Vancouver show that was supposed to be Friday (November 3rd) has been moved to November 25th; the Oakland show on Sunday (November 5th) will now happen Monday (November 6th); the Los Angeles date on November 18th is now on November 22nd; and the Honolulu show has been cancelled. As of now, the concerts in Phoenix, Arizona; Las Vegas; Boise, Idaho; and Atlantic City, New Jersey will all go ahead as planned. The Atlantic City date was supposed to be last Friday, but Jagger's throat problem forced a postponement, and tonight's show is actually a make-up of one that was put off on Tuesday, October 31st, to give Jagger some more rest. Jagger's throat also forced the Stones to cancel two shows in Spain over the summer.
The Beacon Theatre show is actually the second of two that director Martin Scorsese is filming for a Stones tour movie. He shot the first concert on Sunday (October 29th), and the show featured pop star Christina Aguilera, blues singer and guitarist Buddy Guy, and modern rocker Jack White from the White Stripes and the Raconteurs. All three are expected to perform again on Wednesday, just as they did on Sunday.
