Snow Patrol coming back for more shows

Snow Patrol will return to North America in February and March for a headlining tour in support of the band's latest album, Eyes Open, which was recently certified gold for sales of more than half a million copies. The trek will begin on February 26th in Portland, Oregon, with OK Go and the Silversun Pickups along as support. Before that, however, Snow Patrol will appear at the 2006 American Music Awards, scheduled to air on ABC at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st. The group will most likely perform its Top 10 single, "Chasing Cars."

Snow Patrol will film a new video this Friday (November 17th) in Los Angeles, according to Filter magazine. Fans interested in participating in the shoot can send an email to snowpatrolvideo@yahoo.com. The email must have the subject line "Snow Patrol Video" and include your name, age, email address, phone number and photo. You must be between 18 and 28 years old with a valid I.D.

"Chasing Cars" was the number one most downloaded song in the iTunes Top 10, with U.S. download sales of well over 800,000.

Snow Patrol will also play some U.S. radio festivals in December on the West Coast.
