Wolfmother returns to America

Australian trio Wolfmother returned to the road earlier this month in Europe, beginning a new North American trek on Tuesday, November 21st, in Philadelphia. The band took a five-week break due to the premature arrival of a baby boy for bassist Chris Ross and his girlfriend. But with the family doing well, Ross told us that the band is back in business: "You know, we had that five-week break and we've only just come over and been doing shows for the last week or two maybe. And, you know, the first few were a little bit rusty getting back into it, but we've got it going on, back again now. It's good."

Wolfmother is supporting its self-titled debut disc, which came out earlier this year. The group plays in New York City tonight (Wednesday, November 22nd).

The band won big at the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards last month, walking away with prizes for Best Group, Best Breakthrough Album and Best Rock Album.

The latest Wolfmother single, "The Joker And The Thief," recently appeared in the movie Jackass Number 2.
