ZZ Top headed to Houston Rodeo
No one knows how far along ZZ Top is with their new album, but the plan was to tour behind it, and the first show has been announced. They're booked for the biggest hometown show possible -- closing out the annual Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo on March 18th. ZZ Top have played the Rodeo before, including back in 2002, when the event finished up a 37-year run at the Houston Astrodome before moving to its current home at Reliant Park.Other performers already set for the Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo are country stars George Strait, who's also a Texas native; Alan Jackson; and Sugarland.
The Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo, which will award $1.275 million in prize money, is a charitable operation that has donated more than $200 million to scholarships, research, and endowments, while also helping people develop and learn better agricultural practices.
