Bob Seger to wrap tour up in March
Bob Seger's first concert tour in more than 10 years is slated to come to an end by March 15th. The Detroit rocker tells us that the tour's conclusion is being dictated by Silver Bullet Band drummer Don Brewer, who has to return to his regular gig with Grand Funk Railroad by that date: "At this point I'm not looking beyond March 15th, but certainly a lot of promoters, it's been so successful they're screaming for summer (dates), for sheds. We might not be able to get Don, and I don't know if I'd want to do it without Don 'cause he's such a great wall to lean on, so we'll see. I'm amenable under the right circumstances, but I don't know how I'm gonna feel March 15th, either. It's a long way off."
Seger is touring to support Face The Promise, his first album of all-new material since 1995's It's A Mystery. Released in early September, the album has sold nearly 552,000 copies in America alone.
The rocker has dates announced through February 22nd, but he told us they've been scheduled through March 3rd in Las Vegas.
Seger and company next played on Thursday, December 14th, at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.
