Dave Matthews Band returns to the studio

The Dave Matthews Band has returned to the studio to continue work on its next album, which is expected to surface next year. The group hit a Virginia studio earlier this year but took a break for its annual summer tour. According to a new web site post, the upcoming album will arrive "sometime in 2007." The post added, "We look forward to 2007 with anticipation that the best is yet to come."

The last Dave Matthews Band album, Stand Up, arrived in 2005.

The group will kick off a European tour in March.
