Eddie Money puts out holiday song, sets commercial release for latest album
Eddie Money is livening up the holiday scene with some new music. For the first time, he's issued the song "Everybody Love Christmas" as a single, and it features him in a duet with old friend and Rock And Roll Hall of Fame finalist Ronnie Spector, his partner on the 1986 hit "Take Me Home Tonight." "Everybody Loves Christmas" was originally released on his 1997 album Shakin' With The Money Man.
Money's also getting ready to reissue his latest album, the covers set titled Wanna Go Back that he put out himself earlier this year. The album, which has been available at eddiemoney.com and at his shows, will be commercially released in March and should be available in all the usual places. Money told us he's really happy with how Wanna Go Back turned out: "It was great, 'cause I got the record pretty much the way I wanted to hear it, and it was just a lot of fun making it. And, you know, having the opportunity to go back and do songs that you sang in high school -- you know, it was, it was a real treat for me, you know?"
Money's got a few shows left this year, beginning next Friday (December 8th) at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri.
