Eric Clapton joins Procol Harum at benefit show

Eric Clapton was a special guest at a benefit concert in England last week. The No Stiletto Shoes Band, which is led by Procol Harum singer-keyboardist Gary Brooker, did their annual benefit show on Friday (December 15th), and Clapton joined the group on four songs -- "Roll With It," "Driftin' And Driftin'," "Reconsider Baby," and "Stand by Me." According to the fan site whereseric.com, 300 people were in attendance for the show, and everyone enjoyed it.

Brooker supports local charities with these regular gigs, and Clapton has joined the group several times over the years. The No Stiletto Shoes Band also includes bassist Dave Bronze, who's backed toured with Clapton and Procol Harum, and guitarist Andy Fairweather-Low, who's worked with Clapton for many years.

Clapton is home in England for the holidays. His world tour picks up again in Singapore on January 13th, and the North American shows get underway February 28th in Dallas.
