Fall Out Boy letting fans title song
Fall Out Boy has offered members of its fan club a chance to come up with a title for a new song by the band. Members of the club, called the Overcast Kids, were sent the lyrics to the tune via email on Monday (December 18th) and asked to create an appropriate title. For a band with some of the wordiest song titles in rock history, no mention was made of how long the title could or should be. The winning title will be bestowed upon the track, which will be used as a B-side for an upcoming single.
The band also recently gave fans a chance to design the cover of the iTunes version of its new album, Infinity On High. The winner will be revealed when pre-orders for the album begin at the iTunes store on January 16th.
Infinity On High arrives in traditional stores on February 6th.
The video for the album's first single, "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race," premiered on Tuesday, December 19th, on MTV's TRL. According to MTV.com, bassist Pete Wentz hurt his back while filming the clip.
The group begins its Friends Or Enemies club tour on January 4th in San Francisco.
