Hinder recording cover of Eddie Money hit
Hinder will record a cover of Eddie Money's 1986 hit "Take Me Home Tonight" and has asked Money to appear on the track, according to Billboard. There's no word on where or how the track will surface, but Hinder and Money will perform it together on December 18th in Los Angeles. "Take Me Home Tonight" is just one of several covers that Hinder has been playing live to fill out its headlining set, since the band only has one album's worth of material. Guitarist Joe "Blower" Garvey told us some of the other tunes the band likes to pull out: "We've done some ZZ Top, we've done some Bon Jovi. We've done 'Shot Through The Heart' before, so I think we may be bringing that one back. It's always been fun."
Hinder's debut album, Extreme Behavior, has sold 1.2 million copies since coming out in the fall of 2005.
"How Long" follows "Get Stoned" and "Lips Of An Angel" as the latest single from the album.
The Oklahoma-based band is playing its own shows alongside dates with Staind, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace and Buckcherry at different points throughout December.
Hinder opens for Aerosmith in Detroit, Michigan tonight (Friday, December 1st) and will play two more shows with the veteran rockers later this month.
