Hurt previewing new song online
Hurt has posted a sneak preview of a new song called "Assurance" at the band's MySpace page. The track is likely to appear on the band's next album, Volume II, parts of which were recorded at the same time as the group's debut, Volume 1. Frontman J. Loren told us that he's dying for a chance to go back into the studio and finish the second CD: "We already have Volume II in its pre-production phases and I need to go back over that, and I want as much time as possible because I'm just not a fan of turning out something that's lackluster or not the best you can do and, you know, in everything we do we're going to do the best that we possibly can do. There just aren't enough hours in the day and, keep your fingers crossed for me, I'm gonna try."
Hurt will join Army Of Anyone on an upcoming North American tour that begins on January 18th. Full details will be announced in the next few weeks.
Hurt is expected to play songs from Volume II on the trek.
The group recently completed a two-month tour as sole openers for the reunited Alice In Chains.
Volume 1 came out in March and features the singles "Rapture" and "Falls Apart."
