Incubus sets dubious chart record
Incubus set a somewhat dubious record on the Billboard Top 200 album chart on Wednesday, December 13th. The band's new CD, Light Grenades, fell to Number 37 from last week's debut at Number One, marking the biggest plunge from the top spot in the history of the chart. The album's second week sales dropped 65 percent to 57,000 copies from its first-week haul of 165,000.
Light Grenades was the first Number One debut of Incubus' career, although the band's last effort, 2004's A Crow Left of the Murder, arrived at Number Two with twice as many copies sold
Incubus will begin a theatre tour on January 5th, 2007 in Vancouver, Canada, with shows booked through February 11th in Los Angeles.
Lead singer Brandon Boyd will publish his second book, titled From The Murks of the Sultry Abyss, in January. More info can be found at brandonboydbooks.com.
