Jet secret show draws Slash
Jet played a semi-secret, partially acoustic show at the small Spaceland club in Los Angeles on Sunday night (December 10th), showcasing material from the band's recently released Shine On album as well as some cover tunes. According to RollingStone.com, Velvet Revolver and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash showed up to perform the Rolling Stones' "Salt Of The Earth" with the band, while Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones also climbed onstage at several points throughout the evening. The gig ended with Jet and all their guests jamming on the Faces' "Ooh La La."
Chris Robinson sang on a medley of Jet's "Eleanor" and the Ronettes' "Be My Baby," while Jones joined Robinson and Jet for a go at the Faces' "Miss Judy's Farm."
Jet is currently playing a mix of headlining dates and radio festivals through December 17th, when it winds things up in St. Louis. The band plays tonight (Tuesday, December 12th) in Tucson, Arizona.
Shine On, Jet's sophomore effort, arrived in stores on October 3rd and debuted at Number 16 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The title track is the latest single from the CD.
