Kansas guitarist shares terrifying Christmas memory
For most people, the holidays are generally filled with pleasant memories. But most people aren't Kansas guitarist Richard Williams. Williams told us about one Christmas Eve as a child when he couldn't fall asleep and he heard Santa, but things take a much darker turn from there: "For some reason I was kinda scared that, you know, this big guy was in the house. And all of a sudden I heard footsteps, and my door opened, and I had my eyes squeezed (shut). And I don't know where this thought came from, but I could feel this (guy) coming closer and closer, and kind of looking over me, and then walked away. I knew it was Santa, and I knew that if he knew I was awake, he was gonna kill me! (laughs)"
Kansas will ring in the New Year with shows on December 30th and 31st at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York, and they've already got shows booked into the middle of 2007.
