More Bridge School recordings released
Neil Young has released a new set of live recordings from his annual Bridge School benefit concerts, via the iTunes music store. This batch of songs features exclusive takes of Bruce Springsteen doing "Born In The U.S.A.," Don Henley singing the Eagles classic "Best Of My Love," Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young playing "Deja Vu," Elvis Costello singing "Alison," John Mellencamp doing "To Washington," Tom Petty singing "Shadow Of A Doubt," the Pretenders covering Young's "Needle And The Damage Done," and Young, Springsteen, and E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren doing a version of Young's "Helpless."
Over 50 new songs have been made available on iTunes, and all proceeds go to The Bridge School. The institution, which was co-founded by Young's wife Pegi, works to help people with physical and speech impairments through alternate methods of communication, including music therapy.
The first set of Bridge School recordings featured Young, Billy Idol, R.E.M., the Dave Matthews Band, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, among others.
