OK Go hitting Vegas live and on screen

OK Go will perform in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve (Sunday, December 31st) as part of an event being broadcast live from the city's famed Fremont Street on CD USA. Also taking part in the festivities will be the All-American Rejects, Rock Star Supernova and several other acts, according to AOL Music. But OK Go's association with Sin City isn't ending with the close of 2006: the treadmill-dancing group will also show up in an episode of the NBC series Las Vegas. Singer Damian Kulash explained, "The main bit is us performing a song, but...some high roller sort of convinces us to go up into the suite and show them how to move on treadmills. It's kind of embarrassing and awesome at the same time."

OK Go's New Year's Eve show will feature an appearance from legendary soul singer Sam Moore, about whom Kulash said, "He is among the people who wrote the history of rock 'n' roll. I feel like we are students of rock 'n' roll, not exactly progenitors. It really is mind-bending."

The video for OK Go's "Here It Goes Again," which features the band's now-famous treadmill dance, has been nominated for a Grammy Award.

The band will begin a North American tour as openers for Snow Patrol on February 26th in Portland, Oregon.
