Paul Rodgers to release live DVD in 2007

Paul Rodgers is putting together a live DVD from his recent U.K. tour. It was shot at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland, on October 13th, and the sold-out show was the last one on the tour. The concert featured a mix of Free and Bad Company songs, as well as material from Rodgers's solo albums and a new track called "War Boys," according to a review on getreadytorock.com. No release date has been announced for the DVD, but it's expected in the spring.

Rodgers told us that when he's performing, he likes to include as many different sides of himself as possible: "What I try and do is include the best of, really. I can't really not do 'Can't Get Enough Of Your Love,' 'Feel Like Makin' Love,' 'Shooting Star,' 'Run With The Pack,' 'Bad Company,' you know? Straight away, you gotta be doing those. And then, of course, from my days with Free, I gotta look at 'All Right Now,' 'Mr. Big,' 'Fire And Water,' sometimes 'Wishing Well.' I like to throw some blues in there, 'cause I just like doing that."

For the tour, Rodgers was backed by a band that included longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese, drummer Ryan Hoyle from the band Collective Soul, singer-bassist Lynn Sorensen, and 17-year-old singer-guitarist Kurtis Dengler from the group Electric Shades Of Blue.
