Red Jumpsuit Apparatus "Take Action!" tour dates announced
The dates and venues for the 2007 Take Action! Tour, featuring headliners the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, have been announced. The sixth annual edition of the trek will begin on February 1st in Washington, D.C. with dates scheduled through late March. The tour focuses on suicide prevention through awareness campaigns, partnerships with anti-suicide organizations and fundraising for the Youth America Hotline (1-877-YOUTHLINE). Ten percent of the money earned from ticket sales will go toward the hotline, with another five percent coming from sales of the tour's compilation album. Last year's tour raised more than $100,000 for the Youth America Hotline.
Members of the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are working on becoming certified crisis counselors for the Hotline. Singer Ronnie Winter said in a statement, "We are really proud to be headlining this great tour and to personally help with the cause. We are also happy to continue spreading the awareness of domestic abuse through the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence."
Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Static Lullaby and Kaddisfly will join the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on the bill.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is supporting its debut album, Don't You Fake It, which was released this past July and features the single "Face Down." The song deals with domestic violence, which Ronnie Winter witnessed as a child.
