Stone Sour album certified gold
Stone Sour's second album, Come What(ever) May, has been certified gold for shipments of more than 500,000 copies, according to Blabbermouth.net. The follow-up to the band's self-titled 2002 debut arrived at Number Four on the Billboard Top 200 this past summer, with first-week sales of 80,000 copies. The gold album announcement comes at the same time as the news that a track from the CD, "30/30-150," has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
The latest single from Come What(ever) May is called "Sillyworld."
The album was also certified gold in Canada for sales of more than 50,000 copies.
Stone Sour is currently appearing on the Music As A Weapon tour with Disturbed and Flyleaf. The show hits Lincoln, Nebraska on December 12th.
Stone Sour will open for Evanescence on a Canadian tour this January.
