10 Years enters studio for new album
10 Years began recording demos for the band's second major label album on Sunday (January 21st), according to Tunelab Music. The band will move to Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tennessee in two weeks to begin proper recording for the CD. Guitarist Matt Wantland posted a message online in which he wrote, "We have spent the last two months locked in a room writing the songs that will be our next album. There has been more diversity (coming) out of our efforts than we had expected. There are some of the most melodic songs we have ever done along with some of the heaviest, and we are really excited for you guys to hear them."
Wantland added that the band has "what we think" will be the album's title, and that it's something that singer Jesse Hasek "has been kicking around his book of ideas for a while."
The new 10 Years outing will follow up 2005's The Autumn Effect, which featured the singles "Wasteland," "Through The Iris" and "Waking Up."
10 Years toured behind The Autumn Effect for 18 months, finishing up last summer with a spot on the Family Values tour.
