Axl Rose reportedly recording "final" vocals for Chinese Democracy

Guns N' Roses frontman W. Axl Rose is reportedly laying down the "final" vocals for the band's long-delayed Chinese Democracy album at a recording studio at the Palms hotel and casino in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Axl posted an open letter at the group's web site last month in which he set March 6th as a tentative release date for the disc, adding that the band had scrapped its January tour dates in order to finish work on the album.

Undercover News reported on Monday, January 8th, that the release date for Chinese Democracy was still "unconfirmed."

A plan to release Chinese Democracy late last year fell apart due to what Rose described as "unnecessary and avoidable complications," which were partly responsible for the singer's split with manager Merck Mercuriadis.

Mercuriadis himself said in his own letter than when Chinese Democracy finally arrives, it will be "one of the best albums ever made."
