Chris Daughtry gets a feel of the music business

Chris Daughtry played in a band before making it on to American Idol last year, but that doesn't mean he had any idea of how the real music business works. He told us that he's learned a lot about it since starting his band, Daughtry, and signing with a record label: "You know, I kind of went into it with an open mind. I knew I didn't know a lot about the music business as a business. So everything to me was really new information. You know, all the royalties and how you get paid, you know, just everything that just involves the business was very new to me."

Daughtry kicks off a tour January 28th in Anaheim, California.

Daughtry performed on Fox's new Morning Show With Mike & Juliet on Monday, January 22nd.
