The Cult planning new album
The Cult will enter a studio next month to begin working on the group's first album since 2001's Beyond Good and Evil, according to Blabbermouth.net. The band expects to release the album in the fall. A DVD of the band's November 13th, 2006 concert at Irving Plaza in New York City is also planned to tentatively arrive in April. The Cult first returned to action last March for a 20-date North American trek, after being dormant for five years, and continued touring throughout the rest of 2006.
The Cult broke out of England in the mid-'80s, scoring hits with albums like Electric and Sonic Temple, as well as singles such as "She Sells Sanctuary," "Love Removal Machine" and "Fire Woman."
The band is booking European dates for this summer, to be followed by more touring in the fall and winter.
