Drew Barrymore too "Hollywood" for Strokes drummer?
Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti didn't care for ex-girlfriend Drew Barrymore's Hollywood lifestyle, according to Us Weekly. As reported on Thursday, January 11th, the 31-year-old Barrymore dumped her 26-year-old beau after five years, saying they "needed time off." Sources said that even though Barrymore "always had a taste for subculture," she was more "worldly" than Moretti, who reportedly "doesn't like the Hollywood stuff" and "doesn't get (Barrymore's) friends."
A friend of Moretti confirmed that he had moved back into his old apartment.
The couple have apparently broken up twice before, and rumors of trouble surfaced when Barrymore did not attend Strokes singer Julian Casablancas's wedding in February of 2005. Still, a source said that the pair could conceivably get back together, adding, "This is exactly what happened last time they took a break."
The Strokes recently completed a year's worth of touring in support of their third album, First Impressions of Earth. Guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is currently on the road as a solo act, opening for Incubus.
