Evanescence singer engaged
Evanescence singer Amy Lee has gotten engaged to her boyfriend of the past year, a psychiatrist known only as Josh, according to Blabbermouth.net. Lee announced the engagement while appearing on the Canadian music channel MuchMusic on Tuesday (January 9th). A video of Lee announcing the news has also popped up on YouTube. Evanescence is currently on a Canadian tour with Stone Sour.
Lee was previously involved with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan, whom she dated for more than two years. The relationship broke up in the fall of 2005, at least partially over Morgan's problems with drugs and alcohol. Morgan spent a month in rehab late last summer.
Lee based "Call Me When You're Sober," the first single from Evanescence's latest album, The Open Door, on her experiences with Morgan.
Evanescence heads to Japan and Australia later in the month.
Lee appeared last month at Korn's taping of MTV Unplugged, which will premiere in February. Her performance of "Freak On A Leash" with the band heads to rock radio stations this week.
