Fall Out Boy begins "Friends or Enemies" tour
Fall Out Boy begins its Friends or Enemies tour on Thursday, January 4th, in San Francisco, launching the band's first full run of headlining dates in support of its upcoming new album, Infinity On High. Singer Patrick Stump told us that the name of the tour touches on bassist Pete Wentz's relationship with both Fall Out Boy's fans and detractors: "It kind of comes from, Pete has a web site that he started, it's kind of like a MySpace but you can pick people you don't like too (laughs). You don't have to be friends with everybody. But it's also kind of tongue-in-cheek, naming a tour that."
The brief tour ends on January 20th in Orlando, Florida, with more dates to follow in the spring.
Infinity On High arrives in stores on February 6th.
Fall Out Boy revealed the fan-designed cover art for the digital version of the album on Tuesday, December 26th, at Walmart.com.
The band also chose the winner of another contest in which fan club members could title one of the group's new songs, which will be used as a B-side. The winning entry was "It's Hard To Say 'I Do' When I Don't."
