Fall Out Boy teaming up with Kanye West

Fall Out Boy will team up with Kanye West for a series of remixes, according to NME. The band has confirmed that West will remix a yet-to-be-named track from their upcoming album, Infinity On High, while they will return the favor by remixing one of the rapper's own songs. Fall Out Boy has already dipped into the hip-hop world, enlisting rapper -- and the president of their record label -- Jay-Z to appear on the album's opening cut. Singer Patrick Stump told us the band was thrilled to have Jay show up: "Flat out, that's one of the coolest things that, you know, I've ever gotten to be a part of, period. There's not a lot of living musicians that I respect a lot and, you know, Jay-Z's on a very short list. So having Jay on there is another level that's awesome, something really cool."

Infinity On High arrives in stores on February 6th.

Fall Out Boy is currently on its Friends or Enemies tour, which played on Wednesday, January 17th, in Washington D.C.

The band will next headline the 2007 Honda Civic Tour, beginning on April 18th in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the full list of dates and venues to be revealed later this month.
