Glenn Tilbrook enjoying solo acoustic shows
Glenn Tilbrook is in the midst of a short run of U.S. dates that see him playing solo acoustic shows. Even though he's got his own band called the Fluffers, he's toured this way several times before, and there's even a DVD called Glenn Tilbrook: One For The Road that followed him as he played and traveled the U.S. in a mobile home. Tilbrook told us that while he loves his band, he finds playing solo acoustic dates to be special: "What I've really liked about being by myself is the ability to actually talk to people, to develop communication with the audience, and to get relaxed to a point where I don't work with a setlist anymore and just go out and see what happens. And I really enjoy that, and I think people enjoy that, too. I think people enjoy the fact that there isn't a set thing that's gonna happen -- that it can just go any way."
Tilbrook's next show is tonight Wednesday, January 10th, at Rhythm & Brews in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The mini-tour wraps up Tuesday (January 16th) in Raleigh, North Carolina.
His former Squeeze partner Chris Difford has also lined up a short tour, which begins February 25th in Nashville.
