Heather Mills' sister claims Paul McCartney is "not concerned" with daughter's safety
Heather Mills' sister Fiona Mills has posted a sprawling letter on Heather's official website lambasting the press, as well as taking a swipe at her estranged brother-in-law Paul McCartney.
On Monday (January 22nd), Fiona, who also serves as her sister's personal assistant, posted a message on Heather's official website (heathermills.org), which originally stated, among other accusations against the public and paparazzi, that, "The vicious agenda of these tabloids has resulted in death threats to my family and as her husband is not concerned enough to help, I will at least try to do something. Heather and Beatrice no longer receive the protection that would be afforded to any other member of the McCartney family facing such threats."
Several hours after being posted, the mention of McCartney was removed.
In the open letter Fiona defends Heather, stating that, "Heather does not deserve the hatred that the tabloid press have thrown at her. She is just one of many women getting a divorce. She has committed no crime... Heather's not a gold-digger, liar or self-publicist for people to tear apart -- she's a human being and a mother who has feelings and cares what her daughter will read in the future."
Elsewhere on the website is a section called "Story-Truth," in which Mills publishes a widely circulated rumor, then gives her take on it.
On whether Mills has accepted any type of divorce settlement from Macca: "Heather has never ever received a settlement offer. These stories are being written in order to paint Heather as a gold-digger."
On whether Mills has agreed to give McCartney full custody of their three-year-old daughter Beatrice in exchange for nearly $50 million: "(It's an) absolutely disgusting thing to say. It is unforgivable to suggest Heather would sell her daughter for any amount of money."
McCartney and Mills announced their separation in a joint statement on May 17th. Macca officially filed for divorce on July 28th. Since then there have been nearly weekly reports of a settlement, complete with specific dollar and property breakdowns, none of which have been acknowledged as true by either party's legal representatives.
