Incubus singer's new book out now
Incubus singer Brandon Boyd has just published his second book, called From The Murks of the Sultry Abyss, featuring paintings, drawings, photographs and observations made by the singer. Boyd worked on the book while Incubus was taking some time off, and guitarist Mike Einziger told us that having side projects is good for everyone in the band: "I think those kind of things are necessary to keep it feeling new. You know, every time we write music together, I think all of us want it to be something new and something exciting for all of us. And I think that's one way to keep it that way, is to do some other things in the periods in between. You know, just kind of little projects that are fun, that just kind of take us out of the realm of what we're used to doing."
Boyd's previous book, White Fluffy Clouds, was a collection of poetry, artwork and writings conceived by Boyd while on the road with Incubus.

Incubus recently offered fans a chance to direct the video for the band's new single, "Dig," with the winning selection becoming the official clip for the song.
Incubus is currently on a North American tour in support of its recently released sixth album, Light Grenades. The group played on Tuesday, January 30th, in Boston. The tour closes out on February 11th in Los Angeles.
