Killers map out spring US dates

The Killers have revealed the details for the first leg of their spring U.S. tour, which begins on April 6th in Santa Barbara, California. Ticket pre-sales for members of the band's fan club will begin this Saturday (January 27th) at 10 a.m., with general sales for the public starting on February 3rd through Ticketmaster. The Killers will be moving from mid-sized venues to large arenas on this trip and frontman Brandon Flowers said that both have their appeal: "It's amazing when you see bands like U2 command a crowd, and see that many people be made so happy, you know, when they start to play 'Where The Streets Have No Name' or something, you know, and the love that you feel in a room of that size. But there's also something great about being able to, you know, make eye contact with a guy in the last row at a place that holds a thousand. I don't know, we appreciate both."

Pre-sales will begin on Monday (January 29th) for the Virgin Festival, scheduled for May 21st in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Killers will top a bill also featuring A.F.I., Hot Hot Heat and other acts to be announced.

The Killers are supporting their second album, Sam's Town, and current single, "Read My Mind."
