Killers shooting next video in Japan
The Killers will shoot the video for their next single, "Read My Mind," in Japan. Frontman Brandon Flowers told MTV that the group doesn't have a director for the clip yet, but said, "We will be in Tokyo. On bikes." Flowers added that "Read My Mind" is the band's favorite song from its new album, Sam's Town, a sentiment that guitarist Dave Keuning also shared with us: "'Read My Mind' is probably my favorite one on the record. It just feels good to play it and to listen to it. It was a different song and a different name that was more of a rock song, that we kind of felt lukewarm about. We tried to make it good and then we just tried it a different way, and it just turned out different and I loved it. And at the beginning of the day, I remember I didn't really like it, and at the end of the day, I loved it."
The clip will be shot in Japan sometime before January 19th, when the Killers head out on the Big Day Out festival tour in Australia and New Zealand.
The Killers will then head to Europe until early April, when the quartet will return home and get started on its next North American trek.
Sam's Town, the band's sophomore effort, came out in October and was recently certified platinum for sales of more than one million copies.
