Lindsey Buckingham to shoot TV performance
Lindsey Buckingham will be in Park City, Utah, today (Wednesday, January 24th) to appear on an upcoming TV show. The program is called Where Music Meets Film, and it's being taped in the midst of the annual Sundance Film Festival. Buckingham will perform at the invitation-only event, and the footage will be used on the WE cable channel in the spring.
Buckingham thinks music and movies are linked. He told The Salt Lake Tribune, "I'm a big fan of film. I think there's a complete correlation between a film and the way films are made and the way music is put together, at least in my world. And I'm fascinated with the art form. It's one of those things that keeps you going."
Other performers who are being shot for Where Music Meets Film include Shawn Colvin, Keb' Mo', Sean Lennon, and Joss Stone, with singer-songwriter-producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds acting as host and also performing.
Buckingham's tour behind his solo album Under The Skin resumes on January 25th, at the Hogg Memorial Auditorium in Austin, Texas.
