Meat Loaf salutes Oscar nominee Jennifer Hudson
Meat Loaf has joined the chorus of people saluting actress Jennifer Hudson on her Oscar nomination this week. Hudson was nominated in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for her portrayal of Effie in the movie Dreamgirls, and Meat Loaf said, "Well deserved! She was amazing, and I would have been surprised if she had not received a nomination. A talent to be reckoned with!" Hudson first gained national exposure when she competed on American Idol back in 2004.
The 79th annual Academy Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC on February 25th.
Of course, Meat Loaf is no stranger to the camera, having been in almost 60 movies and TV shows over the past 45 years, beginning with an uncredited role as an extra in the 1962 movie State Fair, according to the Internet Movie Database.
Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose tour begins February 23rd in Pala, California.
