OK Go guest stars on NBC's Las Vegas tonight

OK Go will guest star and perform on the NBC series Las Vegas tonight (Friday, January 12th) at 9:00 p.m. ET. During the episode, the characters played by Nikki Cox and Vanessa Marcil can't agree upon which party guests are more important, and end up fighting for time with OK Go so they can woo VIPs.

Meanwhile, OK Go will head to Los Angeles next week to shoot a video for its upcoming single, "Do What You Want." If the clip is anything like the ones for "Here It Goes Again" and "A Million Ways," then it will likely involve a dance routine. Singer Damian Kulash told us that the dances in OK Go's videos were never really planned: "We had come up with this dance routine so that we could, during our live show, just drop our instruments and bust into dance. It seems self-evident to me that any time that can happen in life, it makes life better, you know? So, for the sake of confusing our audience and enjoying ourselves, we had come up with this ridiculous dance routine and we were practicing it in my backyard and we had videotaped it to see what it looked like. And the video tape we sent to a couple of our friends as a digital file and they eventually put it on the Internet and before you know it, it was this huge Internet sensation."

Kulash himself will direct the band's new video.

Speaking of videos, OK Go will wrap its "OK Go Dances With You(Tube)" contest next Tuesday (January 16th). The contest challenged fans to recreate OK Go's famed backyard dance from "A Million Ways."

Both "Here It Goes Again" and "A Million Ways" are from OK Go's 2006 album, Oh No.

OK Go kicks off a tour with Snow Patrol on February 26th in Portland, Oregon.
