Paul McCartney rumoured to be dating. The U.S. vs. John Lennon on DVD

According to several sources, Paul McCartney may have a new woman in his life. The Cleveland Leader reported that McCartney, who is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce with second wife Heather Mills, has met the new lady friend through his daughter Stella McCartney. A source close to the family said that, "(Paul) really likes this woman... but he is very paranoid about getting close to another woman. The situation with Heather Mills has more than ruffled his feathers."

The source added that Macca fears that Mills is trying to turn their three-year-old daughter Beatrice against him. In an effort to counter Mills "filling their daughter's head with thoughts against him," he is supposedly writing the child a long letter, detailing the demise of his and Mills' relationship, for her to read in the future.

On Saturday, January 6th, Saturday Night Live will repeat McCartney's surprise appearance from last year. Macca appeared towards the end of the "Platinum Lounge" sketch with host Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. Saturday Night Live airs on NBC at 11:30 p.m. Check your local listings for stations and times.

The critically acclaimed documentary The U.S. vs. John Lennon will be released on DVD on February 13th. The film, which was produced with the cooperation of Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, chronicles the couple's four-year battle against the Nixon administration to remain in America.

Although no bonus footage has been announced yet for the upcoming DVD, David Leaf, co-director of The U.S. vs. John Lennon, told us that there are several sequences that were left on the cutting room floor: "There's a whole sequence that we edited on COINTELPRO, the (FBI's) Counter Intelligence Program. And then we decided it was taking the audience away from the focus of the movie. We spoke to a lot of people about (Yoko's daughter) Kyoko (Cox) and John and Yoko's search for her. Ultimately it took the audience away from the story. Those are the decisions that we as filmmakers have to make, and there's always room for a difference of opinion."
