Ringo Starr animated superhero DVD still in the works

Legendary animator Stan Lee, who created or co-created such classic cartoon characters as Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk and many more, revealed a few details on his upcoming animated DVD on Ringo Starr. Lee told TV Guide that, "Our next (animated DVD) will be Ringo. I was talking to Ringo the other day, and I said, 'You know, I feel it's my duty to make you more famous.' So it's my attempt to make Ringo more famous. He'll kill me when he hears this."

Lee went on to joke that, "The world doesn't know (Ringo's) a great adventurer, who has saved civilization many times. They will learn that when they see our little DVD. He's going to do the voice and the music." There is no title or release date for the animated feature. Very little is known about the project apart from the fact that Starr's character will be portrayed as a "reluctant superhero."
