Solo debut from Strokes guitarist arriving in March
Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. will release his debut solo album, titled Yours To Keep, on March 6th in the U.S. The disc arrived overseas late last year. The American version of the record will contain two previously unreleased tracks called "Postal Blowfish" and "Well...All Right," as well as a video for the song "101." In addition to Hammond on guitar and vocals, the album features bassist Josh Lattanzi and drummer Matt Romano.
Yours To Keep also includes guest appearances from Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller and Fountains of Wayne's Jody Porter.
Hammond is currently opening for Incubus through mid-February, and played on Wednesday, January 10th, in San Francisco. He'll mount a headlining U.S. tour in the spring.
The Strokes spent most of 2006 on the road in support of their third album, First Impressions of Earth.
