Stone Sour expects to stay on tour all year

Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor told MTV.com this week that he wants the band to stay on the road for all of 2007, meaning that he and guitarist Jim Root won't return to their other group, Slipknot, until 2008. Taylor explained, "I just don't see anything serious happening until the beginning of early 2008. But that was my plan from the get-go. Between recording and touring for (Slipknot's last album) Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), we spent two and a half years, and that period was just so fuckin' crazy that you kind of have to give it at least that much equal time to settle down and get the interest back up."

Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan, on the other hand, recently said that he expected the band members to reassemble sometime in 2007 and begin writing their fourth album.

Stone Sour's sophomore effort, Come What(ever) May, arrived in stores last August and is approaching the half-million mark in sales.

The latest single from the record is called "Sillyworld." Taylor said that the video for the track will be an animated clip in the vein of Pink Floyd's The Wall and Queens of the Stone Age's "Go With The Flow."

Another cut from the record, "30/30-150," is nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance.

Stone Sour is currently touring Canada with Evanescence.
