Three Days Grace looking forward to Nickelback tour
Three Days Grace will open for Nickelback beginning on February 20th in Tacoma, Washington, continuing a string of tours that the two Canadian acts have done together over the past few years. Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier told us that his band always looks forward to hitting the road with their superstar countrymen: "They've taken us out quite a few times, and going out with them, you know, they play big shows, they're big arena rock shows, so, you know, every tour we've done with Nickelback has been pretty big and pretty awesome. So it gives us a chance to play in front of a lot of people. So we're, you know, we're looking forward to that. Should be good."
Three Days Grace had the most played song at rock radio in 2006 with "Animal I Have Become." Both that and the band's latest single, "Pain," come off the group's second album, One X.
The band played a series of acoustic dates last fall at centers for addiction, mental health facilities, and group homes, including the Toronto facility where Gontier went into recovery two years ago for drug and alcohol addictions.
Three Days Grace is currently on tour with Buckcherry and plays on Thursday, February 1st, in Oklahoma City.
