Anna Nicole Smith's body in limbo
Anna Nicole Smith is not resting in peace as various lovers and relatives fight over what should happen to her body. Smith's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, has hired an attorney to get possession of the corpse so that she can hold a proper funeral. Howard K. Stern, Smith's attorney and commitment ceremony partner, wants the model's body back in Bahamas so it can be buried next to her son Daniel. And Larry Birkhead, the photographer claiming to be the father of Smith's girl Dannielynn, got an L.A. judge to keep the body on ice until it's determined whether or not samples of Smith's DNA can be taken and used in his paternity case.
Smith's body is currently in Florida, where coroners are working to determine the cause of the 39-year-old's death.

Illegal Aliens, Smith's final movie, will be released on DVD in May. In it, Smith played one of three "super hot" alien babes who "arrive to protect the Earth from intergalactic forces of evil." She made the movie in September 2005.
Howard K. Stern's sister Bonnie says he and Smith were going to get married on February 27th.
Larry Birkhead says Stern kept him away from Smith after she got pregnant even though they were still friends. Birkhead told the New York Daily News that he tried to keep Smith away from drugs too, "I watched over her to make sure she was safe, and once I was basically pushed to the side, I had no control over what she did or anyone else around her did."
The 911 call from the Seminole tribal police department to Hollywood, Florida paramedics was released yesterday (February 13th). Because the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino where Smith was found is on tribal grounds, tribal police were the first on the scene. They called for help when they could not revive her: (Seminole police officer 1) "If you could please respond to the Hard Rock..." (Dispatcher) "Uh-huh." (Police officer 1) "Room 6-0-7." (Dispatcher) "Okay." (Police officer 1) "It's going to be in reference to a white female who is, um, (off mic) what is she? Not responsive?" (Police officer 2, off mic) "Unresponsive and not breathing." (Police officer 1) "She's not breathing and she's not responsive. She's, um, actually, Anna Nicole Smith."
