Arctic Monkeys set title and release date for second album

Arctic Monkeys have set an April 23rd release date for the band's second album, titled Favorite Worst Nightmare. The first single from the 12-track collection is called "Brianstorm" -- that's right, "Brian" -- and will head to radio shortly before the CD's arrival. The new record will follow up the British band's 2006 debut, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, which has sold 294,000 copies in the U.S. and featured the single "I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor."

Other new songs on the album include "Teddy Picker," "D Is For Dangerous," "Fluorescent Adolescent" and "If You Were There, Beware."

The new effort will feature the recording debut of bassist Nick O'Malley, who replaced founding member Andy Nicholson last year.

Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not was the fastest-selling debut album in the history of the U.K. music business, selling more than a million copies in England and winning the country's prestigious Mercury Music Prize earlier this year.

The band is nominated for two Grammys this year, in the categories of Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

Arctic Monkeys will perform at this year's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 27th.
