Axl Rose comments on Guns N' Roses shows in South Africa
Guns N' Roses frontman W. Axl Rose has commented on the band's upcoming performance in South Africa, which will mark the group's first appearance ever in that country. Rose said, "I've been fortunate enough to play in some of the most historic buildings and stadiums around the world but performing in South Africa will truly be an honor. I can't wait to see South Africa. This is a dream come true." The band will perform at the My Coke Fest 2007, scheduled for April 27th in Johannesburg and May 1st in Cape Town. Evanescence and Hoobastank will also be on the bill.Guns N' Roses is rumored to be planning more touring for later this spring and summer.
Axl turned 45 yesterday on Tuesday, February 6th. Tuesday was also the official four-week mark before Rose's tentatively announced March 6th release date for the long-delayed G N' R album, Chinese Democracy. There have been no further updates on that front since Axl revealed that date in December.
