Britney Spears returns to rehab
Britney Spears returned to rehab Wednesday night (February 21st), less than a day after checking out of the Promises facility in Malibu. The move came shortly after her ex, Kevin Federline, reportedly requested an emergency custody hearing about their two sons, who have been in his care for a week. According to UsMagazine.com, Federline is expected to seek unquestioned full custody of the kids if Spears quits rehab again. Sources said that he's been taking care of 17-month-old Sean and five-month-old Jayden with some help from his mom, Julie Bleak, along with Spears' mother Lynne. Before entering rehab for the third time, Spears showed up at Federline's house and rang the buzzer three times, but was not let inside. Along the way, she struck a photographer and his car with an umbrella, causing minor bruises and minor damage to the vehicle.
Federline's rep released a statement saying, "Kevin continues to be a very focused father with his children with hands-on management."
Both Federline and Spears filed for full custody of the kids, but were temporarily granted joint custody in January.
Spears' treatment is expected to last 30 to 45 days.
The singer first entered the Crossroads facility in Antigua last week, but left after a day. She then entered Promises on Tuesday (February 20th) and left 24 hours later.
Meanwhile, Spears' father, Jamie, told Fox News yesterday that his daughter is "a sick little girl...we're just trying to take care of her." He added that Britney's problems are "not about what other people think."
