Buckcherry wants fans to make video for new single

Buckcherry is the latest musical act asking fans to create their own video for the group's current single, "Everything." Filmmakers can upload their homemade clips to youtube.com/group/buckcherrycontest and follow directions to enter the competition. The band will choose their favorite, with the winner and a guest receiving roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, tickets and VIP access to Buckcherry's March 20th show in London. The winning clip will also run for a month on Buckcherry's official website and MySpace page. Deadline for entries is March 9th.

Buckcherry singer Josh Todd told us that "Everything," which is off the band's comeback album 15, is an especially personal song for him: "'Everything''s about dreams, you know. I mean, I think everybody gets to some kind of crossroads in their lives, you know, sometimes it's later, sometimes it's very early, and you've got to kind of figure out what your destiny is, you know, and I just love the song. It means a lot to me, you know, 'cause I've been there. You know, I did a lot of things early on in my life that kind of kept me away from my dreams, and I had to hit a major bottom in order to have an awakening."

Buckcherry broke up in 2002 following the disappointing response to its second effort, Time Bomb. Josh Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson are the band's founders and sole original members.

Buckcherry is currently touring with Three Days Grace and plays tonight (Tuesday, February 20th) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The band will be the musical guests on the March 2nd edition of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
