England's Daily Express reported that Gore recently met with top music industry and media executives to get their support for the event.
Since losing the questionable 2000 presidential election, Gore has been a tireless environmental advocate. His documentary on global warming, An Inconvenient Truth, is nominated this year for an Academy Award.
