Incubus video contest down to 5 finalists
Incubus now has five finalists in its contest to have a fan create the video for the band's new single, "Dig." According to MTV, the finalists, one of whom is a 44-year-old mother from Boston, will join the band at its Los Angeles show this Tuesday (February 13th) for the announcement of the winner. The winning clip will become the song's official video and be serviced to outlets all over the world. Incubus fans have also been invited to vote for their favorite submission, with voting continuing until midnight on February 12th. The fan choice will also be revealed separately on Tuesday, although Incubus is solely choosing the official clip.
The videos can be seen and voted on at IDigIncubus.com.
More than 100 videos were submitted from 26 states and 18 countries.
Footage of the band performing the song was provided for the filmmakers to use, although they were not required to do so.
"Dig" is the latest single from the group's recently released album, Light Grenades. The group begins a three-night stand in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 11th) to cap its current North American tour.
