Modest Mouse unveils modest tour

Modest Mouse has unveiled a brief run of West Coast tour dates to celebrate the March 20th release of its new album, We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. The five-date mini-tour commences on March 14th in Portland, Oregon. The group will also play a single date in Mexico City just prior to that. We Were Dead... features Shins frontman James Mercer on three songs, and also marks the recording debut of new member and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.

The first single from the new CD is called "Dashboard."

Modest Mouse will embark on a full world tour after the record is released.
