My Chemical Romance guitarist says stage show will recreate album
My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero has been grounded in Los Angeles with a severe sinus infection while his band is touring Australia, but that doesn't mean he's got nothing to do. Iero has been checking out the stage production for the band's upcoming U.S. tour and told us that it will correspond to the storyline of the band's new album, The Black Parade: "The story's gonna be told visually this time around. As far as us becoming (fictional band) the Black Parade and some of the different characters from the record, yeah, they will be there. I don't want to give away too much, and also a lot of it is still in production as of right now to see what we can feasibly make work. I can't wait to get started on the actual tour." Iero came down with his infection after having his wisdom teeth removed, which caused some damage to his sinuses. He flew to Japan for the beginning of the group's South Pacific tour, but had to return home.
The guitarist added that he's been watching fan videos of the band's shows on YouTube.
The group's U.S. trek begins on February 22nd in Manchester, New Hampshire. The stage show is being built in a Los Angeles warehouse.
